This will be one of the first Sketchys without our ringmaster Drew so just to be sure we get through the next month unscathed I called-in the burlesque heavyweight Rita Fontaine (Miss Burlesque Australia 2011) to help me find a suitable MC while Drew gallivants across the States! Thankfully, Rita has found me an intoxicating substitute….
Johnny Castrati has been in hiding all winter, playing with his instrument of love…. his cello. He left audiences at the Australian Burlesque Festival wanting more and more can be had at Dr Sketchy’s. Tuesday the 7th will involve a different style of Sketchy behaviour as while the two lovely ladies pose for you, Johnny as our MC will entertain your ears as well as your eyes with music and very naughty poetry…
Same time, same place never the same experience….
Arthouse Hotel, Attic Bar
Level 2, 275 Pitt Street Sydney

7.00pm – Meet your talent
Far away in time and space there was an enchanted world with three suns and a race of gentle, elfin-like creatures…Be entranced as you sneak a peek at this elflings dance!
Bringing an air of exotic adventure from the hot, steamy jungles of the far east is the mysterious and sensual forest nymph, Shasta. Her tantalising moves invoke powerful illicit fantasies, regardless of your gender.
Prepare to be whisked away on a magical journey!
It is my pleasure to introduce the hardest working women to ever grace the Sketchys stage… Heidi Hillier & Miss Cherry Lush. Coming to Sketchys Sydney this Tuesday!
Heidi is a hula hooper, who is renowned for her infectious, bubbly stage persona, original and skillful shows and her super-cute costumes. Her characters include the very nautical H.M.A.S Heidi Hoops, the wild cowgirl Heidi Hodeo Rodeo, and Sideshow/Burlesque superstar Sugar Candy – She’s a regular Sydney show girl – 34B, Ruby Revue, Black Cherry, Velvet Affair.
Cherry has recently returned from the USA where she was lucky enough
to attend the Burlesque Hall of Fame! She performed in San Francisco
and Coney Island in NYC. Now she is home she has to get back to work
to pay off the cost of the travel jaunts. She is a hard working lady
and likes to be in a uniform. It may not be quite what you expect
Through on your winter woolies, grab your sketch pad and come and cosy up on a couch with us on Tuesday!
Hope to see you there!
